A Philly shop is making a ‘Tom Brady butterfingers doughnut’ for the Eagles’ victory parade
It's the same place that banned Boston creams before the Super Bowl.
The Eagles may have emerged victorious in Super Bowl LII, but a Philadelphia doughnut shop isn’t done throwing shade at the New England Patriots and Tom Brady.Dottie’s Donuts, the same shop that banned Boston cream doughnuts until the “the Eagles win the Super Bowl,” plans to make a “Tom Brady butterfingers donut” for the Philadelphia team’s victory parade through the city.Shop co-owner Jeff Poleon told Boston.com the new pastry named for Brady will be a chocolate-frosted doughnut sprinkled with a Butterfinger-like topping made of peanut brittle. “It will be a lot a better than Tom Brady was last night,” he said.The Patriots attempted to use the New England quarterback as a receiver during Super Bowl LII Sunday night, but the the pass from Danny Amendola bounced off Brady’s fingers. A victory parade through Philadelphia celebrating the Eagles’ 41-33 win over the five-time Super Bowl champions is expected to take place Thursday. Boston cream doughnuts have also been allowed to return to the shelves at the vegan doughnut company, though Polean said there have been adjustments to the classic. “We changed the recipe a little bit,” Poleon said. “We added a bunch of victory to it. It tastes a lot better than it did two weeks ago.”

Polean said ‘all jokes aside,’ he and his team are looking forward to receiving a box of sweets from Kane’s Handcrafted Donuts in Boston, the result of a wager between the two businesses over the outcome of the Super Bowl.
“We’re pretty excited to try them out,” he said of the dozen doughnuts being overnighted to Philadelphia.
