Tom Brady wasn’t on hand to accept his NFL MVP award in person, but the Patriots quarterback still made sure to send a message.

Wide receiver Julian Edelman was on stage at the University of Minnesota’s Northrop Auditorium to accept the honor on his teammate’s behalf.

“He said one thing for me to say,” Edelman told the crowd. “He said, ‘LFG.’ I don’t know what it means, but he said, ‘LFG.'”

“LFG” is a riff on one of Brady’s favorite catch phrases: “Let’s f****** go.”
