Patriots make it fashionable to brave the elements

Many of the Patriots players are going sleeveless in their game Sunday vs. the Jets despite extremely cold temperatures and wind chills below zero at Gillette Stadium.

Patriots coach Bill Belichick and center David Andrews were spotted before Sunday’s game on the field in attire better suited for the weight room or beach – shorts and sleeveless shirts. Several Jets players were also seen with arms bared during warmups, and one, Jamal Adams, went shirtless.

When they came out in full uniform prior to kickoff, many other Patriots players did not have long sleeves under their short-sleeved jerseys.

It’s customary for some football personnel to brave the elements in this fashion, especially linemen on both sides of the ball.
