The Patriots’ bye week may have arrived at a vital time for wide receiver Chris Hogan, who sustained an injury in the 21-13 win over the Chargers on Sunday.

With what the Patriots are calling a shoulder injury, Hogan left the field in the fourth quarter with his right arm hanging limp. The injury occurred with just under three and a half minutes remaining in the game, as Hogan ran a crossing route on 2nd and 8.

Catching Brady’s pass, Hogan was drilled by Chargers defenders, and was slow to get up:

He was treated on the sidelines before walking off the field. The Patriots listed him as questionable to return (which he did not):

In the aftermath of the game, the extent of the injury remains unclear:

Hogan caught five of his seven targets in the game, totaling 60 yards. He has 28 catches for 378 yards and five touchdowns in the 2017 season.
