Dont’a Hightower shares an inspirational update from the hospital

After successfully undergoing surgery to repair a torn pectoral muscle, Patriots linebacker Dont’a Hightower thanked his supporters via Instagram for keeping him in their prayers. On Friday — the day following his procedure — the 27-year-old posted an photo with his mother from the hospital. He captioned it:

“Isaiah 43:2 states, ‘When you pass through the waters, I will be with you and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.’ I wanna thank everyone that’s kept me in their prayers.”

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Hightower is expected to make a full recovery for the 2018 season.
