Watch Tampa Bay kicker Nick Folk miss all three field goals against the Patriots
The Patriots were able to hold on for a 19-14 win in Tampa on Thursday night, thanks in large part to a trio of misses from Buccaneers’ kicker Nick Folk. Tight as the game was in many respects, it was lopsided in a simple comparison of Folk vs. Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowski.
Gostkowski nailed all four of his field goals (plus his lone extra point). Folk, though he hit both extra points, failed to accurately place a single field goal through the uprights.
The first attempt came at the end of the opening half. It was a difficult – albeit not impossible – attempt from 56 yards:
