During their third preseason game of the year, the Patriots got off to a fast start against the Detroit Lions on Friday night.

New England scored on their opening drive off of a pass from Tom Brady to wide receiver Chris Hogan. The touchdown marked the first time the Patriots got on the board before their opponents during preseason contests.

Upon regaining possession after a fumble forced by cornerback Malcolm Butler, Brady added to his team’s lead by hitting the same target in the end zone for a 32-yard touchdown.
