Rob Gronkowski describes rapper Rick Ross puking during Super Bowl party: ‘I’ve never seen that before’
Perhaps not the most Earth-shaking breaking news, but Rob Gronkowski says seeing rapper Rick Ross throw up during a post-Super Bowl LI parade party at Foxwoods was “hilarious” and a “classic time.”
In an interview Thursday on a video webcast called Moose.TV, Gronkowski — known for his affinity for a good party — was asked about Ross, who said in February that he puked multiple times behind the DJ booth after mixing liquors during the post-parade festivities.
“I remember it,” Gronk said. “That was a classic, classic time, classic story right there. He ducked right under the table. I was like the only one who saw him go and I was just like ‘Whew.’ It was hilarious. I’ve never seen that before — someone just partying like that and just duck down.”
Ross told The Brilliant Idiots podcast at the time that he had spent the night switching between drinking champagne, as one does at a Super Bowl party, and brown liquors. Gronkowsi, who, despite his plans, also partied fairly hard that day, said Ross at least seemed prepared to handle the situation.
“He knew what he was doing,” the Patriots tight end said. “He knew it was coming and just ducked right down, got rid of it, and then all of the sudden he just disappeared a couple minutes later and got out. It was classic, man. That was a good night.”
Gronkowski said it often feels like everyone wants to party with him, but said the popular perception of him as a nonstop party boy isn’t 100 percent true.
“Everyone thinks I’m just going ham 24/7. I mean, that’s not really the case,” said the 28-year-old tight end, who recently adopted Tom Brady’s diet and fitness routine (mostly).
However, that perception isn’t 100 percent untrue, either.
“I can get it rolling,” Gronkowski added.
Just ask Rick Ross.
