Tom Brady congratulated Jordan Spieth on his dramatic Open win
Tom Brady and Jordan Spieth share at least three things: a love of golf, a sponsor, and, as we were reminded of Sunday, an ability to win on the biggest stage, even when the odds are stacked against them.
Spieth’s dramatic victory at the 146th Open Championship channeled Brady’s Super Bowl LI comeback against the Falcons. After leading for most of the weekend, the American found himself trailing before playing five holes in 5-under par, beating Matt Kuchar by three strokes and inspiring Brady to post a congratulatory message to Instagram.

Brady’s mention of the drive on 13 referred to a wayward Spieth shot that sailed so far right it was closer to the practice tees than the fairway. Spieth’s recovery kept him in the tournament.
Before the 2017 Masters, Brady joined Spieth on the course for a round at Augusta.

Brady, Spieth, and Warriors guard Steph Curry all endorse Under Armour. Spieth can become the youngest player to win all four legs of golf’s grand slam next month at the PGA Championship.
