Watch Tom Brady’s ‘grandma’ deliver a burn to Peyton Manning

Peyton Manning just finished his first season as an NFL retiree, but that doesn’t mean the two-time Super Bowl champ hasn’t been keeping busy.

In a pre-recorded sketch for the ESPY awards, ESPN introduced viewers to Manning’s fictional new home: Sunset Acres Village. The new environment is certainly no football field, but the 41-year-old still manages to turn his daily activities into heated competitions.

Amidst the arts and crafts, shuffleboard, and water aerobics, however, there is one resident, Ruth, who continually gives the retired quarterback trouble.

Turns out Ruth is actually the “Gam Gam” of one of Manning’s most notorious rivals: Tom Brady.

And she’s just as merciless as Brady was on the field.

Via video chat, Brady introduces his “grandma” to Manning.

“I used to play football with Peyton,” he explained.

“Oh, isn’t that wonderful?” Ruth responded. “Did you win five Super Bowls, too?
