Throughout his football career, Julian Edelman has carried with him a lesson he learned from his dad at a very young age: “Life’s about the fundamentals.”

The New England Patriots wide receiver shared a slo-motion video to Instagram Tuesday night that shows him working on just that. He captioned the post, “#fundamentals have to get better, if you aren’t getting better you’re getting worse. Or as Ricky Bobby’s dad would say #ifyourenotfirstyourelast.”
