Morning sports update: New sports analytics study ranks the Patriots fan base as the NFL’s 2nd-best

Bruins lose Colin Miller to Golden Knights in expansion draft: Miller, 24, was in and out of the Bruins’ lineup much of the past season and was called into the playoff lineup in April only after the Bruins sustained a string of injuries along the blue line. (Boston.com)
Brad Marchand named to 2017 NHL First All-Star team: Following 2015-16’s career-highs in goals and points, Marchand was even better this past season, scoring 39 goals and 85 points in 80 games for the Bruins. The 39 goals were tied with Vladimir Tarasenko for the fourth-most in the NHL, and his 27 even-strength goals were the sixth-most in the league. (WEEI)
