Tom Brady, Julian Edelman open up on Patriots’ sense of accountability at Tony Robbins event

While speaking at “The Ultimate Wealth & Achievement Summit,” hosted by motivational speaker Tony Robbins, Tom Brady and Julian Edelman shared a few details about the culture of the New England Patriots.

Per The Boston Globe‘s Mark Arsenault, Edelman told attendees that head coach Bill Belichick says, “When you’re carrying the ball, you’re carrying the fate of every single person in the organization and their families.”

Brady echoed this sentiment of accountability, saying that he “loses sleep” when things aren’t perfect.

“I threw an interception today,” he said. “I feel like I let the whole team down.”

The quarterback also stressed the close bond among players, deeming the earned “trust and love and respect” of his teammates to be “most important.”

According to the event listing, the one-day summit, which was held at the Boston Convention Center, was intended provide self-improvement tips to those looking to work on “motivation, personal development, lifestyle, relationships,” and more.

Brady and Edelman were among four special guests, with reality TV star Bethenny Frankel and businessman Marcus Lemonis also making an appearance.
