Tom Brady responded to a meme about his Super Bowl sideline thoughts

Tom Brady is a five-time Super Bowl champion, an Under Armour sleepwear spokesman, and… an Instagram comedian?

From Lady Gaga’s action-packed halftime routine to Julio Jones’ Michael Jackson-esque catch, Super Bowl 51 produced quite a few viral memes. One in particular, which circulated throughout social media on Sunday, was a photo of Brady with his head down on the bench, apparently reflecting on the team’s less-than-stellar first half performance and praying for a miracle.

His prayer seemed to work– the Pats came back from a 25-point deficit to secure a 34-28 victory in overtime. Fans wondered what exactly Brady said to curry favor with a higher power.

“I need to know what prayer Brady said so I can use it later in life,” the meme said.

The meme asked, and Brady himself answered–in the form of an Instagram comment.

“Hey, so remember that whole David Tyree thing from a few years ago,” Brady replied on Elliot Tebele (@fuckjerry)’s Instagram post.

Ask and ye shall receive, Patriots fans.
