Watch Roger Goodell give Tom Brady his Super Bowl MVP trophy
Yup, it was kind of weird.
The morning after the Patriots staged an historic comeback to win Super Bowl LI, Roger Goodell welcomed Tom Brady on stage to accept his trophy as the game’s MVP.
Brady, who threw for a Super Bowl record 466 yards in directing the Patriots to a 34-28 overtime win, provided Patriots fans with a poignant moment after the Deflategate controversy and four-game suspension at the beginning of the 2016 season.
