On Thursday night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the host brought together an assortment of current and former NFL players, including Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, for an all-football edition of “Mean Tweets.”
“Rob Gronkowski is one of the dumbest people in the world,” Gronkowski read. “I have no problem tweeting this because he probably can’t read it.”
“I just read it,” Gronk retorted. “You’re dumb.”
The Twitter user who wrote the Gronk tweet (who lists himself as a Bills fan) clapped back Friday morning.
Last night Gronk read this on Jimmy Kimmel. If Gronk learned how to read anything is possible https://t.co/pgfssXYrBK

Other players who read their own Twitter hate included Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson (“I’m tired of people saying Russell Wilson is too short to play quarterback. He’s ugly too.”), and Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller (“Von Miller looks like an 80-year-old man from 1974.”)
Jimmy Kimmel Live! wasn’t the only show Gronk appeared on Thursday night. The tight end also showed up on Conan O’Brien’s show, joining teammates Tom Brady and LeGarrette Blount, Falcons defensive end Dwight Freeney, and former Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch for an edition of “Clueless Gamer.”
