An emotional Tom Brady tells a young boy about his ‘hero’ at the Super Bowl’s opening night
The Super Bowl’s opening media event has a reputation for being a bit of a circus.
But when a young boy asked Tom Brady who his hero is, the Patriots quarterback showed genuine emotion, beginning to answer before pausing to collect himself.

“Who’s my hero? That’s a great question,” Brady said. “Well, I think my dad is my hero because he’s someone that I look up to every day, and a… my dad.”
Brady’s dad, Tom Brady Sr., made headlines over the weekend, defending his son and referring to the Deflategate saga as a “witch hunt.”
Brady joked Monday on WEEI’s Kirk & Callahan show that he had banned his father from talking to the media. On Monday night, he also showed emotion when he was asked if his dad speaks for him.
