New England Patriots

This Matt Patricia doppelgänger at Gillette Stadium is seriously impressive—and a little eerie

With the New England Patriots leading the Los Angeles Rams 17-0 at halftime, defensive coordinator Matt Patricia could perhaps be forgiven for taking some time to enjoy the game from the stands.

Wait, that’s not him?

Patricia’s apparent doppelgänger, reminiscent of the infamous Fake Andy Reid, had Fox commentators Kevin Burkhardt and John Lynch dumbfounded.

“That’s unreal,” Burkhardt exclaimed.

Eventually, the broadcast put the bearded Patriots coach and his lookalike on a split screen.

As Burkhardt and Lynch noted, the real Patricia has an impressive record in the engineering world, as well as on the sidelines. It’s unclear if his lookalike would be able to match the coordinator’s resume, if only his facial hair.
