Morning Sports Update: Rob Gronkowski reportedly not expected to miss time with back injury

Gronkowski started yesterday's game, but left with a back injury.

Gronkowski may be back to face the Rams this weekend.

Gronkowski’s back injury doesn’t appear serious, for now: A source told Mike Florio of NBC Sports that Rob Gronkowski’s back injury, suffered in yesterday’s 22-17 win over the Jets, is not expected to keep him off the field. The source said the initial indications were that the injury was not serious, and based on the current situation it appears that the tight end could play this Sunday against the Rams.
