Pete Carroll on Gillette Stadium: ‘It’s not a great place’

"They weren't nuts. It's because they're so used to winning."

Despite playing in different conferences, which means they only face off every four regular seasons, the Patriots and Seahawks are developing something of a rivalry.

New England’s nail-biting Super Bowl win in 2014 was the prequel to Sunday night’s 31-24 Seattle win, which also ended at the one-yard line.

From Richard Sherman’s taunts towards Tom Brady to Bill Belichick questioning Pete Carroll’s coaching decisions, meetings between the two teams haven’t been lacking in drama.

Now, Carroll may have added fuel to the fire with his remarks on the Patriots’ home stadium.

Seattle’s crowd, dubbed ‘The 12th Man” for their noise level and impact on games, is known as one of the best in the NFL. By making a direct comparison to New England’s, Carroll made sure the next matchup between the teams will have even more of a backstory behind it.
