Robert Kraft explains why powerful people shouldn’t be afraid to wear sneakers
"If it's disrespectful, then I'll leave, but no one's ever kicked me out."
If you’re perusing sneakers at the well-hidden Bodega store in Boston, you might bump into the fifth-wealthiest person in Massachusetts. And he will probably be just as excited about Nike’s newest sneaker as you are.
In a video for Complex, Kraft walked through what sneakers mean to him.
“I’m at a point in my life where I hang with people I like, and I try to do good things, but I love wearing my AF1s,” Kraft explained. “If it’s disrespectful, then I’ll leave, but no one’s ever kicked me out.”
And retired linebacker Jerod Mayo explained President Obama’s reaction to Kraft wearing his sneakers when the Patriots visited the White House in 2015.
“You must be the coolest owner in sports,” the President told Kraft.
