In his Wednesday press conference, Tom Brady was asked about his political preferences in light of Donald Trump’s victory in the 2016 presidential election.

When asked specifically about allegedly allowing Trump to talk about Brady and his supposed endorsement, the Patriots quarterback didn’t answer directly.

“Why did I give him permission,” Brady asked rhetorically. “So you’re assuming I gave people permission.”

And in a follow up question, Brady declined to confirm that he voted for Trump. He mentioned that Gisele Bundchen, his wife, has told him to refrain from doing so:

Brady pointed out that he has been happy in the past to see other presidents, including Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, be elected, calling himself, “a very positive person.”

Trump had previously stated on several occasions that he has Brady’s support. And on November 7 at a rally in New Hampshire, Trump declared that Brady had voted for him.
