Tom Brady named AFC Offensive Player of the Month
After missing September, the Patriots' quarterback dominated October.
The Patriots announced Thursday morning that Tom Brady has been named the AFC’s Offensive Player of the Month for October.
Since returning from a four-game suspension, Brady has led the Patriots to four straight wins. At 7-1, New England has the best record in the NFL entering Week 9. Brady has thrown 12 touchdowns without an interception so far this season. He currently leads all quarterbacks with a 73.1 percent completion rate, 9.8 yards per pass attempt, 133.9 passer rating and 89 total quarterback rating (as compiled by ESPN).

According to the team, this is Brady’s ninth player of the month award, good enough to pass Peyton Manning for the most in NFL history. Brady was also named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against Cleveland in his first game back from suspension.
