Tom Brady after Patriots’ dominant win: ‘I can do better’
“I think there was plenty of rust out there.”
Tom Brady’s return to football from his suspension was marked by a lopsided win over the Browns, yet the Patriots quarterback maintains that he can still improve.
In a 33-13 win, Brady went 28-40 with 406 yards passing and three touchdowns. Yet despite his strong performance, Brady noted in the postgame press conference that he saw some rust.
“I think there was plenty of rust out there,” Brady admitted. “I can do better in a lot of areas.”
His teammates, on the other hand, were of a different opinion.
“He knows the system,” said Julian Edelman. “It’s Tom Brady. You don’t expect anything less.”
