There’s plenty of media attention being given to Tom Brady’s return to the Patriots this week, but according to offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels the quarterback will treat this week just like any other.

“I don’t see it being much different in terms of a normal game week,” McDaniels told reporters Tuesday. “We’ll try to do all the right things in terms of preparing and getting ready to play a team that we don’t know very well and we’re going to study hard to get to familiar with and go there to play a game on the road in a tough place to play.”

True to Patriots form, the team is moving on quickly from the quarterback circus that was the first four weeks of the season, but McDaniels stressed that Jimmy Garroppolo and Jacoby Brissett won’t be forgotten.

“There are a lot of things that they learned and a lot of things that we learned that we’ll work on moving forward and we’re going to do that. Their preparation won’t change. They’re going to continue to work as hard as they can to prepare themselves to play each week and be ready to go if they’re called upon.”
