Tom Brady watched a ton of football on Sunday

Tom Brady may be the most recognizable face in all of Boston sports, but that didn’t stop him from kicking back Sunday and watching plenty of football just like the rest of us.

Since Brady’s four-game suspension includes bans from speaking to coaches and teammates or being at the team facilities, he didn’t have much choice but to take in the action from the rest of the league.

“It was fun to sit on the couch and see a lot of those games from a different perspective,” Brady said in an interview with Westwood One Radio Monday, via the Boston Globe. He added, of course, “It was great to see the Patriots finish off the night with a huge win in Arizona.’’

Brady also said he watched NFL Red Zone, the channel that shows every touchdown from every game. If there was any doubt that watching this much football was stirring up his competitive juices, he put that to rest quickly.

“It was fun to watch football on Sunday. Obviously I’d much rather be out there playing.’’
