Cris Collinsworth on Deflategate: ‘It was bad for the NFL’
Collinsworth and Al Michaels were critical of the scandal during the Sunday Night Football broadcast.
When Jimmy Garoppolo stepped onto the field Sunday night, the Deflategate scandal saw the start of its final chapter.
With Tom Brady’s suspension firmly in place and Roger Goodell saying he stands by the punishment, NBC’s announcing duo of Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth got the last word in during Sunday night’s broadcast:

Michaels and Collinsworth were on the call for the Patriots-Seahawks Super Bowl directly after the accusations of deflating footballs surfaced. Without the suspended Brady Sunday night, Garoppolo led the Patriots to a 23-21 in over the favored Arizona Cardinals.
