Rob Gronkowski was a limited participant at Patriots practice yesterday, but despite earlier indications he may be a game time decision, more recent reports suggest the tight end will play Sunday night in Arizona.

Did Tom Brady stage a silent protest by removing helmet decal?: Tom Brady nearly stirred a new media controversy when it became apparent that the NFL logo sticker was missing from his helmet. But in his interview with Jim Gray last night, Brady said that the wardrobe malfunction was simply a mistake. Here’s hoping he doesn’t get another 4-game suspension from an equipment violation. Tom Brady supports Jimmy Garoppolo, but is he obligated to mentor him?: Brady also refuted any potential rift between himself and Jimmy Garoppolo, stemming from the younger quarterback’s comments about a “smoother operation” without Brady. Here’s what Red Sox players wore on ‘Favorite Jersey’ flight to Toronto: After taking sole possession of first place the night before, the Red Sox had a well deserved day off Thursday, but the team worked its way into the news in a different way. Some choices were obvious: Jackie Bradley repping the SEC with a Todd Gurley jersey, Clay Buchholz rocking a Tom Brady jersey (this guy needs the fan points), but others were less so. (NESN)

Tom Brady believes NFL system can always be improved: Brady’s legal battle spotlighted a potential labor issue that the Player’s Association probably needs to address in its next bargaining talks with the league, particularly commissioner Goodell’s powers as an arbitrator that give him the power to both accuse and rule upon any potential infractions. For obvious reasons, Brady thinks the league needs to work on these deficiencies. (WEEI)
