Tom Brady returns to practice Tuesday
Brady missed a preseason game and two practices.
Tom Brady will be back at work on Tuesday, according to ESPN’s Mike Reiss. Brady missed Thursday’s preseason game against the Bears and a pair of practices that followed on Sunday and Monday.
After having an excused absence the last two days for non-injury related reasons, Tom Brady is back at work with the Patriots today.

Brady missed the Patriots’ second preseason game after reportedly cutting his finger with scissors. Bill Belichick didn’t clarify Brady’s absences, but told WEEI Monday that Brady would be back “when that clears up.” The Patriots’ backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo didn’t have much to share about Brady’s absence either.
“It’s kind of like the game day, I thought he was going to start,” Garoppolo told WEEI Monday. “It’s just kind of how we roll around here though, you never know when your number is going to be called, you’ve always got to be ready, and it worked out pretty well.”
