The Patriots’ preseason schedule has been surprisingly devoid of Tom Brady so far.

With the future hall-of-fame QB absent from the win over the Bears and now missing practice Monday, coach Bill Belichick was naturally asked about the situation.

In a move that won’t surprise many Pats fans, Belichick declined to elaborate, saying, “No, I don’t comment on any personal situations” when asked to confirm Brady’s non-injury absence.

The coach certainly did nothing to clarify an increasingly odd situation, which includes Brady’s backup Jimmy Garoppolo stating he wasn’t aware Brady was going to miss the game Thursday against Chicago.

Fans and opponents alike will keep an eye out on the Patriots to find out what exactly is going on behind the scenes in Foxborough.
