Chris Hogan reportedly won’t miss much time with shoulder injury

Hogan suffered the injury Sunday

Patriots wide receiver Chris Hogan injured his right shoulder in a blocking drill Sunday, and missed the rest of that practice as well as Monday night’s practice.

According to a Boston Herald report, Hogan will undergo treatment but isn’t expected to miss much time. The team doesn’t want to rush him back onto the field but also does not believe the injury is serious, meaning his status for preseason games shouldn’t be in question.

The 27-year old receiver came to the Patriots this offseason from the Bills, and has earned praise for his chemistry with both Tom Brady and Jimmy Garoppolo.

After spending time on the Giants, Dolphins and Bills practice squads, he was promoted by the Bills in 2012 and has played all 16 games in each season since. He had 6 catches for 95 yards against the Patriots in Week 11 last year.

While a member of the Dolphins, he was featured on Hard Knocks and earned the nickname “7-Eleven” because he was “always open.”
