REASONS TO GO:— Watch Jimmy Garoppolo fight for the starting QB job
With Tom Brady suspended, the quarterback position is one to watch at training camp for the first time in a decade.
— There’s a battle at every position:
Training camp is a great time to learn the roster and watch players fight for spots and playing time. In a system like New England, there’s bound to be a few unknown young players who prove themselves in this time – just look at Malcolm Butler.
— Tom Brady will still be there
Despite missing the first four games, ESPN’s Mike Reiss points out that Brady will likely still get plenty of No.. 1 reps in training camp.
— You can wish him an early Happy Birthday:
Brady’s birthday sometimes takes place during camp, but not this year. He’ll be 39 on Aug. 3.
