Minor league baseball team to hold ‘Keep Brady suspended’ night
The Buffalo Bisons are not members of the “Free Brady” movement. Rather, the minor league baseball team will stand in direct opposition by hosting a “Keep Brady suspended” night on June 11. The event is a response to the Pawtucket Red Sox’ “Free Brady Friday” on June 10.
The NFL suspended Brady four games for his role in the Deflategate scandal. Brady is slated to serve that suspension, pending appeal.
It’s easy to imagine why the Triple-A Bisons are rooting against the Patriots quarterback. The Bisons are a minor league affiliate for the Toronto Blue Jays, and Buffalo is also home of the Bills, one of the Patriots’ AFC East rivals.
Here’s a description of the night’s events, via the team’s website.
Buy-One, Get-one Free Tickets to anyone that brings a PROPERLY-INFLATED football to be donated to area youth football programs
Accepting UN-DESTROYED cell phone donations for ‘Cell Phones for Soldiers’ charity
A 12.5% discount in the Bisons’ gift shop for anyone that brings a Tom Brady jersey/t-shirt to add to the postgame Fireworks Display
Help us remind Tom of the minimum amount of inflation for footballs, for you know…once he gets to play again
Scoreboard videos featuring some of sports’ greatest cheaters, with special video tribute to Patriots’ coach, Bill Belichick
The team will also enforce a four-inning suspension to all fans named “Tom” or “Brady” by prohibiting them from watching the game during that time.
