Patriots have reportedly talked to Dante Scarnecchia about coaching offensive line
After parting ways with offensive line coach Dave DeGuglielmo just after their AFC Championship loss to the Denver Broncos, the Patriots are having discussions with longtime assistant Dante Scarnecchia about coming out of retirement to fill the opening, according to ESPN’s Mike Reiss.

Scarnecchia, 67, retired in 2013 after 32 seasons as an NFL coach. Thirty of those seasons came with the New England Patriots, with a short stint as the Indianapolis Colts offensive line coach from 1989-1990.
After Scarnecchia retired, he continued to stay close with the team, primarily assisting with evaluations of college offensive lineman about to enter the NFL, according to ESPN.
According to the report, it would be a surprise at this point if Scarnecchia wasn’t on the sideline for the Patriots next season.
