Tom Brady confides in Derek Jeter: ‘We blew it’
The Patriots quarterback shared his thoughts on the season’s end in a conversation with Derek Jeter
The AFC Championship loss still stings for Tom Brady.
At The Player Tribune‘s National Signing Day event at the University of Michigan Wednesday, the current New England Patriots quarterback and retired Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter greeted one another and engaged in a little small talk.
“The season just ended,’’ Brady told Jeter, captured in a video posted by The Payers Tribune. “It ended two weeks too early.’’
He added: “We blew it. We had a good chance.’’
The Patriots had the opportuntity to tie the game in the closing seconds of their 20-18 loss in Denver. But Brady and the offense were unable to complete a 2-point conversion, and the Denver Broncos advanced to face the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50.
