Tom Brady is sharing his fitness tips with the world with new TB12 website
‘Achieve and sustain peak performance’
Tom Brady is going Steve Jobs on New England.
On Wednesday, Brady launched a website for his company, the TB12 Sports Therapy Center. And yes, they may someday sell avocado ice cream.
According to his Facebook post, in which Brady has been photoshopped onto a picture of Jobs, the website was built “to help bring the TB12 sports method to far more of you around the country and world.’’
The site greets the viewer with a message, “Achieve and sustain peak performance,’’ as video plays with athletes of all ages competing in a number of sports. There’s a store where visitors can purchase merchandise, and some explanation of the philosophy behind TB12.
“All throughout my football career — from high school, through college, and now professionally— I’ve witnessed the impact of injuries on my friends and teammates,’’ Brady said on the website. “I’ve seen athletes get drawn into a system that too often prioritizes short-term solutions by treating symptoms instead of causes — resulting in more frequent injuries, impaired long-term performance, and even athletes’ inability to maintain an active lifestyle. … It shouldn’t be that way, and I decided many years ago that it wouldn’t be that way for me.’’
Brady has missed 15 games during his career, all of which were due to an ACL injury in 2008. He has used his durability as an athlete to promote his TB12 brand and encourage others on the Patriots and all over the country to follow his philosophies on injury prevention.
