Tom Brady calls on Rudy for the ultimate hype video
What do Tedy Bruschi, Bobby Orr, and Charles S. Dutton have in common?
They’re all in Tom Brady’s hype video.
Released at noon Monday, the video runs just shy of a minute and a half, but packs a punch which will make you just about as amped up as the Monmouth bench.
The video starts off with a few shots of Gillette, Jamie Collins and Dont’a Hightower walking out of the tunnel and the whole team storming the field with fireworks blasting in the background. At the 30-second mark, the video takes a step into the past – a clip of Bobby Orr’s famous dive, Larry Bird in his prime, Garnett and Pierce during their title years, and Carlton Fisk’s walkoff Game 6 homer in the 1975 World Series, just to name a few – all voiced over by Fortune’s most famous speech from “Rudy.’’
And finally, the most recent title run – Devin McCourty, Malcolm Butler, Danny Amendola, and of course, the man himself.
Now the real question is, how frowned upon is it for a Michigan alum to use a quote from the most Notre Dame movie of all time?
