Mark Wahlberg says Tom Brady should ‘stick to football’
Count Mark Wahlberg as one of the many who think Tom Brady’s future is in football, not politics.
When asked whether Brady should run for public office in a video on TMZ.com, Wahlberg said Brady should “stick to football.’’
Leaving The Palm restaurant in Beverly Hills, the Boston native was also asked whether Brady’s friendship with Donald Trump could impact New England voters.
“I dont think that will help,’’ Wahlberg said.

Brady told GQ he has no interest in running for public office, but has nonetheless been involved in political conversations in recent months. Trump mentions Brady at nearly every New England-based rally, and the Republican presidential candidate has said that Brady is the key to his support in Massachusetts.
In September, a Barstool Sports reporter noticed Brady kept a “Make America Great Again’’ hat in his locker. He was asked about Trump’s campaign.
“It would be great’’ Brady said of a Trump presidency in September. “There would be a putting green on the White House lawn, I’m sure of that.’’
Brady later said his quotes were taken out of context. After Trump called for banning all Muslims from entering the country in December, Brady was asked again whether he supported Trump’s campaign.
“Can I just stay out of this debate?’’ Brady said on WEEI. “Donald is a good friend of mine. I have known him for a long time. I support all my friends. That is what I have to say.’’
