“We have the highest regard for Josh and Matt and Joe [Judge], our coordinators and all our position coaches,’’ Jonathan Kraft said Sunday on 98.5 The Sports Hub, via ESPN.com. “We’re very fortunate. Bill [Belichick] does an amazing job in bringing in young coaches and teaching them how he wants them to coach the game. It’s actually part of the [philosophy]; Bill is much more about growing talent internally and clearly Matt and Josh are that…
“When people come and ask to interview them, I think it’s a compliment to the organization, not that we want to lose anybody.’’
McDaniels, 39, was the Denver Broncos head coach during the 2009 and 2010 seasons. He has been the Patriots offensive coordinator from 2006 to 2008 and 2012 to this season.
Patricia, 41, has no prior head coaching experience, as he ascended through the ranks of the Patriots organization, starting as an offensive coaching assistant in 2004, moving to positional coaching in 2006, and getting promoted to defensive coordinator in 2012.
