LeGarrette Blount walking on crutches after suffering hip injury
LeGarrette Blount was on crutches Tuesday, according to ESPN’s Mike Reiss. Blount could miss “some time’’ due to his hip injury, according to ESPN’s Ed Werder.
The New England running back suffered the injury during the second quarter of the Patriots’ 27-6 win over the Houston Texans. The team has made no announcement about the nature of the injury or his recovery timetable.
Blount went to the turf after getting tackled on a 6-yard run, but did not appear to take contact to his hip on that play. Eventually, he walked off the field and into the locker room on his own power.
He finished the game with 10 carries for 53 yards. He has 165 carries for 703 yards and six touchdowns.
