Devin McCourty suffers ankle sprain, likely to return by playoffs
Devin McCourty suffered an ankle sprain in the New England Patriots’ 27-6 victory over the Houston Texans, according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport.
The Patriots safety and defensive captain left the game in the second half after apparently rolling his ankle and limping on a subsequent play. According to NBC’s broadcast, he left the game to get X-rays.
McCourty has 57 tackles, one sack, and one interception, and has been instrumental in limiting big plays on a Patriots secondary that lacks NFL experience.
