The Patriots are watching ‘Hard Knocks’ to prepare for the Texans
In addition to, like, watching film.
Bill Belichick would never allow a film crew to tape his team’s entire preseason and beam it to the masses. But the Patriots coach isn’t opposed to taking a peak when other teams do it.
Belichick admitted Wednesday that this season of HBO’s “Hard Knocks’’, which features this week’s opponent the Houston Texans, would be watched by someone on staff at Gillette Stadium before the game, but not the coach himself.
“In terms of preparing for a team, we have a lot of people in our organization that kind of do different forms of preparation work,’’ said Belichick, via CSNNE.com. “That would be covered in that general category. [But] not me specifically. No.’’
The Texans are coached by a Belichick protege, former Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien.
