Tom Brady blames his ‘bad quarterbacking’ for game-changing pick-six
Tom Brady had the Patriots on the verge of a go-ahead score. One interception and 99 yards later, the Eagles were celebrating a lead of their own. After the Eagles’ 35-28 win, Brady was critical of his performance on that play and throughout the game.
“The first interception was bad quarterbacking,’’ Brady said during a postgame press conference. “The team trusts you to put the ball in your hands and make good decisions with it, and that was a terrible decision. So it’s unfortunate because those cost you the game, and I’ve got to do a better job.’’
With Patriots wide reciever Danny Amendola bracketed by a pair of Eagles defenders near the goal line, Brady attempted to fit a pass into a tight space. The ball was tipped into the hands of Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins. He returned the interception to the far end zone, putting the Eagles ahead, 21-14.
Brady pursued Jenkins, but could not track him down in the open field.

Brady finished the game with 312 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions. He also ran for 16 yards and a touchdown, and had one 36-yard reception on a trick play.
“I’ve got to make good decisions with the ball,’’ Brady told reporters after the game. “If I turn the ball over twice, I don’t think we’re going to have the chance to win many games, so I think that’s what it comes down to.’’
