Rob Gronkowski has more offensive pass interference calls than 30 teams in the NFL, according to NFLPenalties.com. And he doesn’t think it’s right.

Gronkowski tweeted in agreement Tuesday after a local sports radio station teased a segment by saying the NFL was “absolutely targeting’’ the Patriots tight end for pass interference.

On 98.5 The Sports Hub’s “Toucher and Rich’’ program, the Boston Herald‘s Jeff Howe said he believed the league was targeting Gronk. The conversation was transcribed and turned into a story on WBZ’s website

When Gronkowski received his fifth pass interference penalty of the season against the Denver Broncos, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady disagreed with the call on the field and argued with the referees about it.

“I don’t fully understand it,’’ Brady said of the call on WEEI’s “The Dennis and Callahan Show.’’ “Like I said, I know our coaches have talked to the league quite a bit about it. Like I said, it’s just one of those things when we’re not getting the [call], and certainly Rob’s not, because as you guys can see it doesn’t look like he’s doing a lot of pushing.’’
