Patriots’ Dion Lewis injures knee, leaves game
Patriots running back Dion Lewis suffered a knee injury against the Washington Redskins on Sunday. With the Patriots leading 20-3 in the third quarter, Lewis went down awkwardly at the end of a 14-yard catch and run. He grabbed his left knee as he fell to the turf.

As Lewis left the field under his own power he was consoled by Patriots defensive coordinator Matt Patricia. The team soon announced that Lewis would not be returning to the game.
