Watch Jimmy Fallon mock the Patriots-Jets locker room bugging controversy
It’s one controversy after the next for the NFL. And Jimmy Fallon thought it pertinent to recognize how ridiculous these controversies are becoming on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.’’
In a quick stand-up joke (which starts at the 1:40-minute mark of the video above), Fallon made light of the Jets’ paranoid behavior at Gillette Stadium during the Jets-Patriots matchup on Oct. 25. According to the Boston Herald, the Jets reportedly requested their locker room be swept for listening devices — none were found.
“It’s being reported that the Jets had their locker room swept for listening devices before their recent game against the New England Patriots,’’ Fallon said. “The Jets became suspicious when they noticed an unmarked van parked in the shower.’’
The Jets also reportedly questioned Patriots employees tasked with providing the referees with batteries for their headsets. Again, no wrongdoing was evident.
