Rob Gronkowski’s literal response to Dolphins player’s trolling: ‘That’d be a penalty’
When Roger Goodell went after Tom Brady for Deflategate, Rob Gronkowski defended his quarterback. When Colts safety Sergio Brown was yapping during the Colts-Patriots 2014 regular season matchup, Gronk “threw him out of the club.’’
But after Dolphins linebacker Chris McCain’s avatar featured a “#CrushBrady’’ caption with a photoshopped image of McCain crushing Brady’s head, Gronk’s response was moderate.
“We’ll see,’’ Gronkowski said, via CSNNE.com. “We’ll see Thursday if that guy does that. I think that’d be a penalty if he does that . . . If he wants to do that, he’d have to give us 15 yards. That’s fine.’’
Sound logic, Gronk.
Of course, his response could change when pads go on and the whistle blows during Thursday night’s matchup.
McCain explained on Twitter he has had the same avatar for a year. But the second-year linebacker continued to taunt and troll the “Dolphin haters.’’
