Danny Amendola made a ridiculous catch to help seal the game for the Patriots

Danny Amendola made two enormous plays Sunday when the Patriots needed them most. The first, an eight-yard touchdown catch with 7:22 remaining in the fourth quarter, put the Patriots ahead of the New York Jets, 23-20.

But the second is the one that has everybody talking. Three minutes after the touchdown, with the Patriots driving again, Amendola hauled in a pass from Tom Brady along the right sideline. Brady’s pass appeared to be high. It didn’t matter.

The catch set up a touchdown by Rob Gronkowski that sealed the game. Amendola finished with eight catches for 86 yards. Gronkowski was impressed.
