A brief history of New England Patriots linebacker Jamie Collins taking flight
Jamie Collins has done this kind of stuff before.
Sunday night was just the latest reminder of the Patriots linebacker’s athleticism, after he completely hurdled the Indianapolis Colts offensive line to block an extra point late in the game.

Well said, New England Patriots Twitter account. However, close followers of Collins already knew that.
In July, Collins posted a video on his Instagram of himself doing seven-straight back handsprings, capped off with a full backflip.

Reminder: that is a 6-foot-3, 250-pound man.
At Collins’ draft combine in 2013, the linebacker out of the University of Southern Mississippi set a record in the broad jump, nearly outleaping the markers. He also had the second-best vertical leap of his entire class at 41.5 inches.

Speaking of vertical leaps, here’s another video from 2013 of Collins in a pick-up basketball game, throwing down a devastating alley-oop on some guy’s head and flooring the crowd.

We can only imagine Patriots fans in living rooms across New England had similar reactions Sunday night.
