Wes Welker working out with Giants
Wes Welker may get another shot. The 34-year-old slot receiver will work out with fellow free agent Hakeem Nicks for the New York Giants on Tuesday, according to ESPN’s Josina Anderson.
The former Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, and Denver Broncos’ wideout has voiced his interest in playing another season. He has 10 years of experience in the league. During his six years with the Patriots, he managed five 1,000-yard seasons. In 14 games in 2014 with the Broncos, however, Welker had 49 catches for 464 yards and two touchdowns. He also suffered three concussions in the 2013 and 2014 seasons.

The Giants have five receivers on their depth chart, including Odell Beckham Jr., Rueben Randle, and Victor Cruz, who is convinced he’ll play Sunday against the Buffalo Bills for the first time since he tore his patellar tendon in October 2014.
